Tournament Policy

There is no priorities in request for tournaments. Written requests will be considered on a first-received basis, and will be accepted by mail, postmarked no earlier than September 1st of each year for any tournament during the following year. Written requests will be submitted to the Tournament Director at Costa Mesa Country Club.

All prevailing City rules and regulations covering the use of the golf club course shall be observed by all participants. Dress code shall be observed at all times. No tank tops or short-shorts. ALL FOOD AND BEVERAGE MUST BE PURCHASED AT COSTA MESA COUNTRY CLUB. NO ICE CHESTS.

The tournament sponsor is liable for any personal injury, property damages, or repairs resulting from tournament play.

All groups of golf players are expected to play at a speed consistent with playing conditions, and observe golf course etiquette and safety factors. Players shall at all times play without undue delay. Any group causing a delay to other players on the golf course, may be required to pick up and move onto the next tee, or allow play through by the foursome behind. Players must keep their position at the tee number ten (10). Those who stop at the club house after nine(9) holes and lose their position on the number ten(10) will forfeit their priority.

The golf course reserves the right to fill any unfilled or late foursome, including within the tournament group, from the daily call sheet.

Spectators, caddies or scorers are not permitted on the golf course at any time.

THERE WILL BE A $100.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO RESERVE A TOURNAMENT DATE. THE DEPOSIT WILL BE APPLIED TOWARDS THE TOURNAMENT GREEN FEES.

There are no refunds of green fees or "rain checks," unless the golf course is officially closed to due inclement weather or adverse conditions. Refunds may be given only to prepaid or non-prepaid tournaments. During these tournaments, if the golf course is to close, the fees, to those present who have not commenced to play, will be refunded in accordance with established City procedures. The decision of the golf course manager or his authorized representative is final.

FEES AND CHARGES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT WRITTEN PRIOR NOTICE. TOURNAMENT FEES WILL BE BASED UPON GREEN FEE RATES IN EFFECT ON DATE OF TOURNAMENT.

The applicant organization agrees that during the use of the City facilities, they will not exclude anyone from participation in, or deny anyone the benefit of, or otherwise subject to discrimination because of a person's race, color or national origin or handicap.

GOLF CARTS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL TOURNAMENT PLAY.
